Veenat - Glevec - Imatinib 
Veenat    have imatinib and belongs to a class of medications known as protein-tyrosine kinase inhibitor, Available in 100mg and 400mg .

Indiaction
Veenat is used for the treatment of a type of leukemia (chronic myeloid leukemia or cml), gastrointestinal stromal tumors (gists - a type of tumor that grows in the walls of the digestive passages and may spread to other parts of the body). Veenat may also be used to prevent cancer from growing in patients after surgical removal of gist.

Mechanism of Action
Veenat works by blocking the action of an abnormal protein that promotes the multiplication of cancer cells. This helps slow or stop the spread of cancer cells. Supplied as:veenat is available in 100mg & 400mg tablets or capsules. 

Dosage:
Veenat is usually taken once a day. Overdose:symptoms of overdose associated with veenat may include diarrhea, yellowing eyes and skin, stomach pain, fever, swelling, dark urine, change in amount of urine (severe increase or decrease), headache, loss of appetite, unusual bruising or bleeding, unusual tiredness or weakness, vomiting.

Precautions & Warnings
Veenat should be taken with proper consulting your doctor if you have ever had pulmonary fibrosis (scarring of the lungs), or liver or kidney disease, bone marrow problems, low white blood cell levels, or low blood platelet levels or if you have had your thyroid gland removed and if you have a history of swelling (edema) or fluid retention.

Drug Interactions 
The following drugs may interact with veenat: The side effects including the risk of bleeding may be increased by warfarin The risk of veenat's side effects may be increased

Geftinat Gefitinib   Iressa

Geftinat   is formulated by using gefitinib and basically belongs to a class of anti-cancer medications called epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Geftinat is used for curing non-small cell lung cancer and effectively blocks the action of chemicals which multiply the growth of cancer cells. 

Available  as:
250mg tablets

Dosage
It Usually should be taken once a day with or without food

Overdose
Symptoms like diarrhea and rash in human body

Precautions & Warnings:
Should be taken with proper consultation of the doctor if the patient ever had pulmonary fibrosis (scarring of the lungs), or liver or kidney disease

should not be used if the patient is allergic to the medicine or any of its constituents
Kindly inform and consult with the doctor immediately, if allergic reactions (difficulty in breathing, closing of the throat, swelling on the lips, tongue, or face; or hives), lung problem, liver problem, eye problem, severe nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, or diarrhea during treatment are noticed Doctor consultation is must for pregnant women or for those who are breast feeding their baby or babies

Drug Interactions:
Cimetidine, ranitidine, esomeprazole, lansoprazole, omeprazole Rifampin or phenytoin Ketoconazole, itraconazole, fluconazole, erythromycin, clarithromycin, ritonavir, nelfinavir, indinavir, nefazodone The blood-thinning effects of warfarin may be increased by geftinat and hence, the risk of bleeding may increase 

Erlonat Erlotinib Tarceva
Erlonat   belongs to a class of medications called Kinase inhibitors and contains erlotinib. It is used for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer and in combination with Gemcitabine, is used for the treatment of pancreatic cancer which spreads to adjacent tissues of the body. The action mechanism of the medicine is as follows:
Functions by blocking the action of an abnormal protein to slow down the growth of cancer cells

Supplied as:
Available in 25 mg, 100 mg & 150 mg tablets

Dosage: 
Usually 150 mg tablet is administered, at least an hour before or two hours after the ingestion of food, for curing pancreatic non-small cell lung cancer. Erlonat is usually given as 100 mg tablets, at least an hour before or two hours after the intake of food, for curing of pancreatic cancer, in combination with gemcitabine.

Overdose 
Symptoms of overdose may include diarrhea and rash

Precautions and warnings 

? The medicine should be taken in proper prescription of  the doctor if the patient has liver disease, lung or breathing problems (other than lung cancer).

? Do not take aspirin, or products containing aspirin, unless prescribed by the doctor Patient must take Erlonat at substantial time gap, if antacids are also being taken If the patient is allergic to the medicine or any of its constituents, then intake is not suggestible

? Erlonat consumption should avoided if the patient is pregnant or breast feeding the child. Doctor consultation suggested for use of birth control during treatment with Erlonat. It is not yet established whether Erlonat passes into breast milk or not.
